This could have been easily called ironic (name a country or local) as every place I have ever been has its' own ironies. However, these are local and I think pretty telling ….

Unbeknownst to Dar, I am about to spill my entire coffee (on my jeans) and he will be required to gather copious amounts of TP from the restroom a few cars down in order to assist me…..ahhh the bliss of not knowing and being able to look forward to quietly enjoying a cappuccino with an extra shot!

Dar and I finally made it in to the city after our adventure with medicine. Headed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and this place ROCKS! From 5th century eyeballs for statues to a reminder for holy men that they too will die (medieval ivory rosary)…so much to do and WAY too little time.Seriously, a trip to NYC is worth it just to see this place….here are some of my favorites…..

If your arms and legs were cut off and your were thrown into the ocean to drown???
It happens to 100 MILLION of your fellow creatures EVERY YEAR!!Sharks – one of the most beautiful, elegant and not to mention one of the OLDEST living creatures on this planet are being killed barbarically and hunted to extinction so people can have some soup??? Shark populations WORLDWIDE are in serious decline and given how long they take to mature and reproduce….who knows if they will bounce back.Sadly – as beautiful is Kerela is – I also saw this on a side street. Apparently, the fisherman who lived in the house needed a little extra cash. Tragically, there are way too many folks in Asia who are willing to pay…..This cause is near and dear to me – if you want to do something about it too, go here…..LINK
