Yes, that is right folks….I am back in Singapore – taking a yoga teachers training course with a good friend for the next 21 days – GULP…

Anyway, it was nice to start my first morning off in this very hot and steamy city with a refreshing bowl of exotic fruits – Dragon Fruit (white with black seeds), Star Fruit and a bit of humble (but super sweet) Watermelon. YUMMY!It was especially nice since this same bowl of fruit here costs pennies compared to the crazy amount it would at home in the states.(A side thought…..I think I am back to having a food porn blog again…..)

So for those of you who haven't heard me whining, my Mac hard drive bit the dust….taking with it (bear the dramatics for the moment) 8 months of photos and 2 weeks of my life.
I say weeks of my life as I had to spend it at one of two locations:– my home cursing, crying and trying to coax an inanimate thing to workOR- at the mac store where they insisted on first spending a day (yeah that is right folks, an ENTIRE DAY) trying to reinstall the operating system, ignoring the clicking sound coming from my rapidly dying computer. Finally, after insisting the following day that the hard drive be replaced, the next week was spent sans a computer….and wow was I surprised at how utterly stupid I was without one….no comments please…..On the upside, it meant that I was spending copious amounts of time at a upper crust shopping center (where the mac store was) in the intervening week they had my computer. The upside wasn't really the mall (it's pretty pretentious) but the glorious french cafe and indian restaurant that is there…most of these were shared – REALLY. -

There is this great street that I have been wanting to walk down with my camera….lots of fruit and vegetable vendors, small shops selling everything and alleys to wander around. I had the perfect reason today.
A friend from home is here for work so we went on a little walk (between eating) around a bit of my hood…here is a little slice of life today from near 80 foot road. -
