Grandad decided to help Skylar eat the fresh cherries….he loves them as much as I do…I certainly took advantage of the fact that cherries were in season while I was home but thankfully, no one had a camera nearby!!

I spent a few days in Vacaville with my Dad and Judy before going back to India. Apart from being in a amazingly beautiful canyon, their home is quite comfy – Darren swears their spare bedroom is more comfortable than the best hotel – the birds agree and they have a huge number of birds – wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and quail to name a few – visit every day. We tease them about opening a nature preserve given there are also a few deer around.
Here are some of my favorite shots from my time there: -
Spent a couple of days wandering around my favorite city. I started by having a wonderful dinner with my good friend Seana. The next day, visiting the new De Young and catching up with a few friends were on the agenda.
The new DeYoung museum is fabulous and here are some of my favorite shots:Tiff and I decided to go to lunch – Thanks again for lunch Tiff! – and we went to the LOBSTER SHACK and had fab lobster rolls (really, what else would you have) and a nice glass of white wine…what a great lunch! And I finished off the day with drinks with some friends before getting on the ferry home…. -

We had a fab time at Coastnoa for Sue's birthday. What a great place to have a weekend away. Wild may be a bit of a misnomer as it consisted of Trivial Pursuit, a great walk on the beach with coffee, a box of See's nuts&chew's, and a lots of great conversation. By the way, the marshmellow and carmel covered in dark chocolate is the bomb!!!
The attempt at crashing a wedding and seeking close to someone's camp to take a picture of a fake lighted palm tree was about as close as we got to being deviant. Ohhh and the bottle of champagne. I am not sure what got into me but I actually let my picture be taken occasionally. There is certainly something to be said with catching up away from it all with great girlfriends. -
So I took a quick trip to San Antonio to visit my Grandad for a couple of days. He is an amazing guy. We had a good time, talked a lot about family history and went to appointments. I had forgotten how vast Texas is and the drive from the Austin Airport to his home was really pretty as the sun was setting. Given admonishments regarding my previous driving and picture shooting, the camera stayed well stowed in my bag….but I took a few shots while there.

The Chico folks and I were joined by the rest of the group sadly sans Judy, Aunt M and Uncle D. The weekend involved Sky and a new bubble machine – have you ever seen so much joy?, Dog piles on Rick – no comment, Paul loosing an Ultimate Fighter challenge he instigated (repeated) with his older sister – her choke hold is mighty good so you all have fair warning, eating very well – YEAH French Toast, Nobby Burgers and BBQ, playing at the park – attempting cherry drops and the zip line, growing temp facial hair – all of us trying to out do the patriarch and resulting in a wacky family photo, and of course ice cream.
Don't miss the two bonus feature at the end – sorry for the shaky hand but could not stop laughing!Bonus Features: -

Paul and Marie got married yesterday. The Davis, Venner, Kao, Cates, Tonachel, and a few other clans decended on Santa Cruz – rumor has it that there were warnings and earplugs handed to the locals before we arrived – to celebrate the nuptuals. The ceremony, held on the beach was beautiful and the reception at a local restaurant was perfect. Here are a few pictures:
