Hopefully, the photos in this post will convince you that there are at least two states that have the right to the title big sky country…but hey, as far as state mottos go, being the "Cowboy State" isn't half bad – especially when you have a weak spot for wranglers and boots.
Wyoming is amazingly beautiful and it helped that we had clear skies most of the way.
And finally, for sheer shock, gawk value (particularly for animal lovers/ veges like myself) if you are anywhere near Rawlins, WY, stop by Jerry's donuts…there are more dead animals in this place than donuts…
