Had lunch in the center today (we decided to gusy up a bit) and then headed off to Moynathy – the winner of Irelands "Tidest Village" award. Moynathy is a very small village but incredably quaint – with the babbling brook, expectedly tidy streets, hedges, flower plots, and buildings.
There is an 18th century church that has been deconsecrated and been turned into, of all things, a credit union. The old church cum credit union's graveyard is a unique place to take pictures. The locals were more than likely thinking I was a mad hatter for walking around taking snapshots of headstones.
