Did a bit of touristy stuff today. Visited tombs reported to be over 5000 years old that had awesome carved stones – thought it was a bit better than Newgrange because of the hike and the solitude.
It is a pretty good climb to the top but we were rewarded with an amazing view.
Also went to Trim Castle – the largest Norman castle in Europe and largest castle in Ireland. The architecture was amazing - especially for the time (late 1100's) and included fresh collected rain water, interesting plumbing and incredible defense structures in the design.
